MISSION
 

“Sony Pictures A Greener World” is the environmental initiative of Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) and seeks to reduce its ecological footprint by pursuing sustainable activities and partnerships that combat climate change, preserve natural resources, and protect the health and safety of our communities around the world. SPE is focused on improving its environmental sustainability throughout all stages of its business, including film and television productions, content distribution, facility operations, and supply chain. 

Sony Pictures' efforts contribute toward Road to Zero, Sony Group’s global environmental plan. The Road to Zero plan aims to achieve a zero environmental footprint across the Company’s products and business activities by the year 2050. Midterm ‘Green Management’ targets are set every 5 years. Green Management 2030 includes a target to reduce Scope 1&2 emissions by 60%; reduce Scope 3 emissions by 25%; and use 100% renewable electricity in Sony operations.
