The Other Bennet Sister

From the outset, the production prioritized energy efficiency and low-carbon power. By eliminating regular diesel entirely, adopting renewable diesel (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil - HVO), and connecting to 100% renewable grid electricity at Wolf Studios Wales, the production significantly reduced carbon emissions. Hybrid generators, which combine battery storage with temporary power generation, further improved efficiency,  enabling reliable operations with lower fuel use.

Sustainability was embedded across all production areas. Rail travel replaced domestic flights, becoming the default for cast and crew, while a strong focus on circularity saw costumes and props sourced through hire and reuse. Catering initiatives, including a beef-free menu and increased plant-based options, helped lower food-related emissions, and a comprehensive waste strategy ensured that no waste was sent to landfill.

With a carbon footprint approximately 19% below the industry average, The Other Bennet Sister highlights the impact of early planning, clear priorities, and integrated decision-making.
